Wellness

More and more people are realizing the importance of getting involved in an exercise routine; yet do not know where to begin. At West Park Rehab, licensed physical therapists along with our highly trained staff have years of experience in treating patients and developing individualized exercise routines to meet their personal needs. We believe that physical therapy treatment is an extremely important part of the recovery process but we view therapy as only a short term treatment. Our view is that a healthy lifestyle that includes routine exercise and proper nutrition is a more lifetime treatment for one’s health. After patients are discharged from therapy we then recommend they become a wellness participant. Our professional staff works with each wellness participant individually to discuss their needs and goals which will in turn allow us to devise the “perfect” routine.

Another benefit of our wellness program is the individualized wellness assessment. Participants who have the diagnosis of arthritis, coronary heart disease, diabetes, fibromyalgia, obesity, and hypertension (high blood pressure) may benefit from an individualized wellness assessment. Wellness participants also have the opportunity to work with a certified personal trainer. Our personal training program is a program designed for individuals who desire the quality of one-on-one attention and supervision while performing a personalized exercise program.

Becoming a wellness participant includes a customized fitness program and access to equipment such as cardiovascular machines, free weights, and equipment found in conventional gyms.

Wellness fee is $10.00 per week at an average of 3 sessions in the clinic and for previous aquatics patients with therapist approval, aquatics wellness is $10.00 per session. Personal training fee is $30.00 per hour or $15.00 per half hour.
